CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — More Kapampangan students are set to gain better access to the internet for their education following the turnover of some 1,300 “Bayanihan SIM” cards by the Department of Information and Communications Technology-Region 3 to Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda on Monday, May 11.
The governor earlier requested 5,000 SIM cards for Kapampangan learners in a bid to strengthen digital access among students, particularly those from underserved and remote communities with limited internet connectivity.
According to DICT-3 director Antonio Padre, each SIM card comes with a 25GB monthly internet allocation, which the agency continuously renews to support students in online learning, research, and communication.

The initiative forms part of the continuing efforts of the Provincial Government and DICT to bridge the digital divide and ensure that no Kapampangan student is left behind in education and access to technology.
The provincial government also expressed its gratitude to DICT Region 3 for its continued support in empowering the youth through improved digital connectivity and expanded educational opportunities. Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
