Lazatin admin hands over P1.3M worth of relief goods to typhoon-hit Camarines Sur, Aurora

The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., has turned over two truckloads of relief goods worth P1.3 million to typhoon-hit Camarines Sur and Aurora provinces.

Of the total assistance, P200,000 worth of essential goods came from Lazatin and P100,000 came from Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, the City Information Office (CIO) said. The rest came from the city government, with Aurora and Camarines Sur getting P500,000 worth of relief goods each.

The CIO said two separate teams from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) and Environmental Management System-City Engineer’s Office handed over the relief goods to Naga City in Camarines Sur on December 19 and Dinalungan in Aurora on December 21.

Lazatin cited the importance of helping Filipinos in need, especially those from other regions, especially during Christmas.

“Habang pina-prioritize natin ang kapakanan at kaligtasan ng mga Angeleños sa tuwing may kalamidad tulad ng bagyo, handa at bukas pa rin tayo sa pagtulong sa mga kababayan natin mula sa ibang lugar,” he said.
