The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., has distributed salaries to its hired home-based “mananahis.”
The City Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (CEDIPO) handed over the payment recently to the dressmakers.
The CIO said the hired home-based workers recently turned over the finished products of school uniforms and katcha for public school students, and One Town One Product souvenirs as part of the Angeleño First Livelihood Program.
The program aims to provide Angeleños with a sustainable livelihood.
