Lazatin admin to provide rice, cash aid to PWDs in Angeles City

The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., is set to distribute rice and cash assistance to registered persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the city starting the second week of January.

According to the City Information Office (CIO), five kilos of rice and P1,000 cash aid will be given door-to-door to the beneficiaries.

The decision was finalized during a preparatory meeting led by Chief Adviser IC Calaguas and Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel on Thursday, January 2.

The Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), headed by Ryan David, will spearhead the distribution.

David said this is not the first time the Lazatin administration has provided financial assistance to the PWD sector.

A total of 2,500 registered PWDs from all 33 barangays of Angeles City are set to benefit from the program.

Lazatin reiterated his administration’s pledge to support the differently-abled community, highlighting this initiative as part of his mission to create a more inclusive and compassionate city.
