The Angeles City government, under the leadership of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr., has unveiled an updated hazard map of the city.
Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer (ACDRRMO) Rudy Simeon presented the map to Lazatin on Thursday, January 9.
The design contains more accurate data on flood-prone areas and evacuation routes, the City Information Office (CIO) said.
“This tool will guide disaster response efforts and provide residents with better information during emergencies,” it said.
Simeon, meanwhile, also showed the mayor the new uniforms of the ACDRRMO.
“These uniforms symbolize our continuous dedication to public safety,” he said.
The move was part of ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of emergency response teams, strengthen the city’s disaster preparedness, and improve public safety.
