Likha ng Central Luzon trade fair generates P47.5-M sales

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — A total of P47.597 million in sales was generated in the 26th Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

About 150 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across the region, showcasing a variety of products, including processed foods, furniture, home furnishings, wearables, gifts, holiday decor, as well as organic and cosmetic items participated in the trade fair held on October 16 to 20 at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City.

DTI OIC-Regional Director Edna Dizon disclosed that this amount surpassed the target sales pegged at P31 million.

“The impressive sales achieved during this Likha Trade Fair highlight the significant economic impact and immense potential of our micro, small, and medium enterprises. We thank our dynamic entrepreneurs, dedicated partners, and our supportive community for contributing to the success of the 26th Likha ng Central Luzon Trade Fair,” she said.

Of the total sales, P22.836 million came from booked orders; P16.994 million from cash sales; and another P7.766 million sales under negotiation.

Records from the DTI Region 3 SME Development Division also showed that Bataan generated the highest sales among the region’s seven provinces with about P14.4 million. It was followed by Pampanga with P11.6 million; Bulacan – P8.18 million ; Tarlac—P5.12 million; Nueva Ecija—P4.52 million; Zambales—P2.74 million; and Aurora—P1.01 million.

The trade fair was organized by DTI Regional and Provincial Offices in Central Luzon in partnership with Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. 3, Regional Development Council 3, SM Supermalls, and Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc.

It served as the culminating activity of industry and trade related programs given to entrepreneurs in Region 3.

Aside from marketing support through trade fairs and market matching, DTI continues to support  the livelihood of MSMEs through various assistance.
