Limay LGU welcomes geological fieldwork in Tikip Falls

The local government of Limay, Bataan has welcomed the National Museum of the Philippines (NMP) in conducting geological fieldwork at Tikip Falls.

The activity on October 14 focused on collecting rock samples and other geological specimens for scientific research and future museum exhibition, the municipal government said.

“These specimens may help provide valuable information about the geological characteristics and natural history of the area,” it said.

Staff from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) assisted the NMP’s research team in the fieldwork.

“This initiative highlights the importance of collaboration between national institutions and local government offices in advancing scientific research, promoting public education, and recognizing the value of our natural heritage,” the local government said.

The activity was in preparation for the opening of the NMP in Clark, Pampanga.
