LUMINA AT THE LAKESHORE ENTERS GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS

MEXICO, Pampanga – The Lakeshore has entered the Guinness World Records for the largest water lanterns display in the world on May 10 with Lumina – a spectacle of some 11,060 eco-friendly, LED-lit paper lanterns floating simultaneously across the estate’s 12-hectare lake – with an official GWR adjudicator on-site verifying the historic attempt that is the first of its kind globally.

The milestone was made possible through the collaboration of local leaders and organizers, including Central Country Estate, Inc. president and CEO Nestor Mangio and executive vice president Brian “BJ” Mangio, alongside Timothy James Madrid and The Lakeshore PR and Marketing manager Maricar Pangilinan.

The Lumina Festival also featured performances from Johnoy Danao, Nobita, El Manu, Jessy Kang, Genesis Dy, and Jem Macatuno, along with fireworks, carnival rides, and family-friendly attractions.

Beyond the spectacle, Lumina also carried a charitable mission, with part of the proceeds supporting back-to-school programs for five nearby barangays of Mexico — proving the festival was not only a celebration of light, but also of community and hope. Press Release/Photos: Nelson Gonzales.
