
A Mabalaquenian youth leader brought pride to the Philippines after securing multiple prestigious accolades at two major international youth conferences held in South Korea from August 11 to 13, 2026.
Jaydee D. Layson, Vice President of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation of Mabalacat City, was recognized for his active participation, leadership, and contributions to sustainable development and peace innovation.


Layson served as an official delegate at both the South Korea International Summer Summit 2026 and the One Korea Youth Forum 2026.
He earned the following recognitions:
- Youth Leadership Outstanding Award 2026
- SDGs Inspiring Leader Award 2026
- Excellence Award – Peace Innovation Challenge
He was also included in the:
- Top 30 Best Delegates
- Top 30 Academic Presenter in Peace and Innovation
- Global Ambassador – Youth Solidarity for One Korea
During the three-day gathering, Layson presented ideas on peace, youth empowerment, and innovation, competing alongside top young diplomats and advocates from around the globe.
His designation as a Global Ambassador highlights his role in fostering international youth solidarity and driving community-level progress aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Layson’s achievements reflect the growing capability and influence of Mabalaqueño youth on the international stage, demonstrating how local leaders can meaningfully contribute to global policy and peacebuilding discussions.
Both Mayor Geld Aquino and Vice Mayor Jun Castro extended their congratulations to Layson.
