Pampanga Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda has inspected the Lubao Bamboo, a tourism attraction in the province.
Pineda, the incoming provincial governor, promised to add more attractions in Barangay Sta. Catalina, Lubao town where the bamboo hub is located.
The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) led by Mark Lapid earmarked P28 million for the more “level-up” Lubao Bamboo.
Lubao Vice Mayor Jay Montemayor, 3rd District Board Member Jun Calas, and other local government officials joined Pineda in inspecting the tourist attraction.
The Provincial Information Office, quoting Canlas and Provincial Engineer Noli Pangan, said a master plan is being prepared for the provincial capitol’s next development for the bamboo hub.
The other expected attractions are the jest ski and kayak rides on the river, additional function hall, persons with disability and senior citizen-friendly pathways, wider and better bike lanes, and a floating spa to provide a livelihood for the deaf-mute Kabalens.
