Mayor Vima Balle-Caluag of San Fernando City, Pampanga has welcomed the opening of the new office of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) in Barangay San Agustin.
The City Information Office (CIO) said Acting Vice President of PhilHealth Region 3 Henry Almanon graced the blessing and inauguration of the San Fernando Local Health Insurance Office (LHIO) at CyberHaus Property Holdings, Inc. Building along McArthur Highway.
Caluag, in a video message during the event, thanked PhilHealth for its steadfast service in providing support to the health initiatives of the city government and being its strong partner in delivering health insurance to the Fernandino constituency.
In the same event, PhilHealth and partner groups signed an agreement that will benefit select Fernandino members of the transport and vendors’ sectors as the agency plans to register them and provide them with free PhilHealth coverage.
The partners include the San Fernando City Pampanga Federation of PUV Transport Services, Inc. (Jeepney Federation), the Pampanga Fernandino United Merchants and Traders Association, Inc., and the New Public Market Vendors and Traders Association, Inc.
Department of Health Central Luzon Center for Health Development Director Dr. Corazon Flores and City Councilor Dr. Ayzel Mari-Grace Macalino attended the recent event.
