San Fernando City Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the suspension of face-to-face classes in all public and private schools at all levels in the city on Monday, October 20.
The suspension is due to Tropical Storm “Ramil,” which continues to affect parts of Pampanga.
“Given the situation, schools may implement online or other alternative learning modalities to ensure the continuity of students’ education,” the City Information Office (CIO) said.
It advised the Fernandinos to stay indoors and follow the safety guidelines issued by health and disaster agencies to avoid any risks.
As of 11 p.m. Sunday, October 19, the state weather forecaster said Ramil will continue moving west-northwestward over the West Philippine Sea and is forecast to exit the country Monday morning.
