Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has requested the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to provide all the necessary equipment for the Joint Drainage Declogging Operation throughout the city.
Lazatin sent a letter to Pampanga District Engineer Arnold Ocampo making the request. He also mentioned the schedule of activities for the operation set along Sto. Entierro Street and Barangay Balibago.
“This joint effort underscores our proactive approach to address drainage issues in the flood-prone areas, particularly in preparation (for) this rainy season,” he said.
The mayor also asked the technical personnel from both the City Engineering Office (CEO) and DPWH to conduct site surveys and provide recommendations for further structural improvements along key routes, including Angeles-Magalang Road and 1st Street.
