Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has congratulated Miguel Antonio Roque for winning an international chess competition.
The mayor handed over a certificate of recognition and cash incentive worth P10,000 to Roque.
The child emerged as champion in the King’s Bangkok Chess Championships in Thailand.
He dominated the Under-10 category of the prestigious international tournament, showcasing his exceptional skills on the global stage, the City Information Office said.
