Mayor Lazatin cites important role of private, biz sectors in Angeles City’s economic growth

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II has underscored the important role of the private and business sectors in the local economy.

He made the statement during the General Membership Meeting of the Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MACCI), Inc.

The City Information Office (CIO) said Lazatin noted the private and business sectors are the “primary engines” of the city’s growth.

The mayor also cited the ongoing efforts and policy directions to sustain growth, such as the issuance of an executive order establishing Task Force Abacan to streamline development and ensure responsible progress and continued operations to remove spaghetti wires to promote safety and aestherics.

He also noted the regular clearing and maintenance activities by the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO) to improve mobility and traffic flow and the presence of police personnel in strategic areas within the city.

In the same event, Lazatin also congratulated the newly elected officers and new members of MACCI.

He wished them success as they work to advance local prosperity and inclusive growth.
