Mayor Lazatin inks deal with DepEd on classroom building program for Angeles City

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Jon” Lazatin II has joined the signing of a memorandum of agreement with the Department of Education (DepEd) for a Nationwide Classroom Building Program.

“Sa pamamagitan ng pagtutulungan ng national at local government, layunin ng programa na makatulong sa pagtugon sa pangangailangan sa mga silid-aralan at makapagbigay ng mas maayos at angkop na learning environment para sa mga kabataan,” the City Information Office (CIO) said.

Lazatin said that investing in education is also investing in the future of Angeleño youth.

Also present during the official signing on August 4 were Mabalacat City Mayor Geld Aquino, DepEd Undersecretary Peter Irving Corvera, and DepEd Assistant Secretary Aurelio Paulo Bartolome.

“Mas maayos na paaralan. Mas magandang learning environment. Mas matatag na kinabukasan para sa Kabataang Angeleños,” the CIO said.
