Mayor Lazatin leads groundbreaking of housing project for Angeleños

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has led the groundbreaking ceremony for the affordable housing project for the Angeleños.

The project will be implemented under the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH).

Each 27-square meter unit will cost P1.23 million with an additional P400,000 for a parking slot.

“Malaking bagay ito para sa ating mga kababayan para magkaroon ng sarili nilang mga bahay, na maayos, ligtas, at nasa sentro ng siyudad,” Lazatin said during the event in Barangay Mining on Thursday, February 27.

The 4PH Program is a comprehensive initiative to make homeownership accessible for low-income Angeleños.

Through the collaboration between the city government, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), and other agencies like the Pag-IBIG Fund, this program provides subsidized housing units, lower interest rates, and convenient payment options.

Ten buildings with six-storey will be established in the city to accommodate the qualified beneficiaries.

Each building will consist of 245 residential units bringing the total to 2,450.

The housing project will also feature 200 car parking and 680 motorcycle parking slots.
