Mayor Lazatin provides support to clear area for DOTr railway project in Angeles City

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered the deployment of city government employees to support the Department of Transportation (DOTr) in the clearing operations in a property where part of the North-South Railway project will be established.

The operations were conducted in front of SM City Clark and along Philippine National Railways property.

DOTr Assistant Secretary IC Calaguas, on behalf of Secretary Vince Dizon, thanked Lazatin and city officials for their support.

Dizon earlier asked for the city government’s assistance in expediting the resolution of right-of-way concerns affecting the Clark-Angeles-Calumpit railway project.

Present during the clearing operations were members of the City Engineer’s Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, Angeles City Traffic Development Office, Public Transportation and Regulatory Office, and Angeles City Human Settlement and Urban Development Office.
