CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Prescription medicines become more accessible even in remote areas – and soon – with the final inspection by the Food and Drug Administration undertaken on the second mobile pharmacy unit of the Provincial Government of Pampanga preparatory to the issuance of a license to operate.
Currently in the process of completion too are the required approvals of the Department of Health and PhilHealth accreditation before giving the green light to the pharmacy on wheels.
Fitted with equipment to safely store, prepare, and dispense medications, the Pampanga Mobile Pharmacy is aimed to fill the patients’ prescriptions, including maintenance medicines, practically at their very doorsteps.
The new unit will be stationed at the Escolastica Romero District Hospital in Lubao, while another is at the Diosdado P. Macapagal Memorial Hospital in Guagua.
To avail of the services of the mobile pharmacy, patients are advised to:
Register with PhilHealth YAKAP through the eGovPH App or PhilHealth Member Portal.
Go to a YAKAP Clinic for initial consultation.
Consult with and get a prescription from your YAKAP provider or authorized healthcare provider.
Watch out for the mobile pharmacy schedule in your district.
A “no prescription, no medicine” policy is strictly enforced. Be sure to have a valid prescription.
