NLEX Corporation, in partnership with the Bulacan Provincial Government, is taking proactive steps to enhance the province’s disaster preparedness and resilience.

The two organizations teamed up with the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) for a two-day workshop designed to equip 70 participants, including policymakers, civil servants, and disaster response personnel, with the knowledge and tools to craft responsive policies and legislation addressing the increasing risks and impacts of natural disasters.
This workshop empowers local governance, encourages proactive planning, and strengthens collaboration among stakeholders,” said NLEX Corporation President and General Manager Luis S. Reñon.

Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Ma. Perpetua R. Santos also expressed her appreciation for the program. “A policy is only meaningful if it is implementable. Disaster preparedness ordinances must be crafted with technical experts from the start to ensure they are enforceable, doable, and effective,” she said.
A similar workshop was also conducted in the Municipality of Marilao, with participation from local government officials and civil service staff.
NLEX Corporation is a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).
