OPLAN SUMVAC 2025! Mayor Lazatin orders deployment of responders in Angeles City’s key areas

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin Jr. has ordered the Angeles City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ACDRRMO) to deploy ambulances in four key locations in the city.

The initiative is part of OPLAN SUMVAC 2025, a nationwide program to assist tourists and motorists during the Lenten season.

ACDRRMO personnel and ambulances are stationed in Caltex Gas Station, Brgy. Pulung Cacutud; stoplight area, Brgy. Pulungbulu; BPI vicinity, Brgy. Balibago; and outpost near Burger King, Brgy. Anunas.

The City Information Office (CIO) said the deployment points aim to ensure emergency response time remains within 10 to 15 minutes.

“We’ve deployed additional traffic enforcers to help our motorists, especially during this Holy Week. We want to ensure everyone’s safety on the road, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure everyone gets to their destinations safely,” Lazatin said.

OPLAN SUMVAC 2025 will remain in effect until 8 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 20.
