CLARK FREEPORT, Pampanga — Authorities intercepted an estimated ₱708,000 worth of high-grade marijuana, commonly known as kush, during an anti-smuggling operation at the Port of Clark on the morning of July 3, 2025.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Clark team leader, the illegal drugs were concealed in a parcel declared as “Sasstie Reading Pillows for Sitting in Bed Adult.” The package originated from Michigan, USA.
The parcel arrived at the Port of Clark on June 30 and was flagged during a routine customs inspection and X-ray scanning. PDEA noted that the drugs were not cleverly concealed, allowing Bureau of Customs (BOC) examiners to easily detect them.
A total of 472 grams of kush were confiscated during the interdiction operation.
The seized contraband has been turned over to the PDEA Region III laboratory for forensic analysis and confirmation.
Authorities said the successful operation was a result of the coordinated efforts of the PDEA Clark International Airport Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (CRK IADITG), the Bureau of Customs-Port of Clark, the NBI Pampanga District Office, and the PNP Aviation Security Unit. #
