Pampanga gov’t gives P100K each to 17 lolos and lolas aged 95 and up

The Pampanga government, under the leadership of Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, has awarded P100,000 cash assistance and a certificate of recognition to each of the 17 seniors aged 95 and above.

The incentives were in accordance with the Provincial Ordinance No. 683 or the Centenarian Act of Pampanga, which aims to recognize the long life and important contributions of the senior citizens to society.

Senior Board Member Fritzie David-Dizon, along with the other local officials, represented Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda in distributing the assistance.

Lolo Eliodoro Manuel, 96, one of the beneficiaries, thanked the provincial government, saying the aid would be a big help in buying his maintenance medicines and other daily needs.

“Para sa mga lolo’t lola tulad ni Lolo Eliodoro, ang programa ay higit pa sa pinansyal na suporta dahil ito ay patunay na hindi sila nakakalimutan ng kanilang pamahalaan,” the Provincial Information Office said.
