Pasig City court orders arrest of Porac Mayor Jaime Capil

A Pasig City trial court has ordered the arrest of Porac, Pampanga Mayor Jaime V. Capil for allegedly violating the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act.

Acting Presiding Judge Josephine Advento of the Pasig City Regional Trial Court Branch 265 issued the warrant on November 28.

The court fixed the bail for Capil’s temporary release at P90,000.

The mayor’s seven counts of alleged violations were related to his supposed granting of a permit to the illegal operations of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) Lucky South 99 in Porac in 2024.

The police failed to serve the warrant of arrest to Capil at his house on November 30 because he was not present.
