PBA and Asia’s Best Point Guard cites ‘gameplan’ in running business

PBA superstar Jayson Castro has likened running a business enterprise to a game of basketball.

He said that as a point guard, a gameplan and a strategy are key to success as his four-month old Esme Restaurant is slowly but surely gaining wide patronage.

“You need to think papaano mo mapapalago ang business. It’s a long term investment,” Castro said in an interview.

Esme, which serves Capampangan culinary delights, is located at Casa Esmeralda, a resort he built in a 2-hectare property in Barangay Cabetican, Bacolor, Pampanga.

At Esme, the recognized Asia’s best point guard has tapped Chef Felix Asuncion, a young entrepreneur and culinary expert known for serving specialty meals at banquets at Asuncion Private Dining in the City of San Fernando.

Like in basketball, Castro also underscored teamwork which he said Chef Felix does so well as a team mate.

Together, Jayson and Felix score not just for baskets but for a win in a court of gastronomic delights.
