PLDT Home’s PR lady cited for faith, influence in leadership

With the observation of the Holy Week, nothing could be more powerful than combining faith and influence.

The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP) has cited a woman-leader in public relations practice, with the applications of her faith in leadership.

Cheryl Maxine Parangan-Loyola, Asst. Vice President and Head Public Relations, Influencer Management and Brand Advocacies of PLDT HOME, was recently recognized by the country’s premier PR organization in their Steward HerStory series.

“Leadership is faithful stewardship of influence entrusted by God,” states the PRSP post about Loyola.

Aside from heading the PR unit of the residential unit of the integrated telco company, Loyola is an active member of an evangelical church and is taking an MBA in Asian Theological Seminary.

The PRSP citation states in full:

On the story she wants to steward for others:

“I want to steward the story that communication is a responsibility before God, not just to inform, but to uphold truth with integrity. In a digital world shaped by speed and attention, I believe we are called to be discerning, purposeful, and faithful in the narratives we carry.”

On the leadership story she believes must be told today:

“The story of leadership that is both courageous and surrendered, anchored in conviction rather than self-promotion. Like Esther, a young queen in the Bible who risked her life to speak up for her people, I believe leadership today requires both boldness and willingness to stand for what is right, even at personal cost.”

On the legacy she hopes to leave behind:

“I hope to leave a legacy of faithful witness, where my life and work reflect not only excellence, but a heart anchored in Christ. Through what I have been entrusted with, I hope others are encouraged to lead with integrity, purpose, and a deep sense of calling.”

Loyola is joined by PR industry experts in the series. They include Charo Logarta Lagamon, Deputy Corporate Communications Head, First Gen Group; Maria Yolanda Crisanto, APR Chief, Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer, Globe Telecom; Angela Javier Cruz, Vice President and Head of Corporate Affairs and Communications, GMA Network, Inc; Jika Dalupan, APRCOO & Managing Partner Universalis Consulting; Celerina Asuncion Cel Rosales-Amores, Consultant for Public Affairs, Ayala Foundation and Co-Founder, AAD Bridae Consulting, among others.
