Relocation sites for NSCR-affected Kapampangans on track: NHA, LGUs assure housing completion by 2027

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Transportation Secretary Banoy Lopez said the National Housing Authority and Pampanga local government units continue to work together to ensure that the ongoing construction of housing units for those affected by the construction of the North-South Commuter Railway project will be completed by 2027.

DOTr assistant secretary for right-of-way and site acquisition IC Calaguas conducted this week an inspection of the ongoing construction in adjacent areas at San Fernando View Residences in Mexico, Pampanga and Casa de Angeles in Angeles City.

The relocation site in San Fernando View Residences has four low-rise, four-story buildings with 288 housing units for project-affected persons. Its Phases 1 and 2 with four buildings are scheduled for completion by November 2026, while the Phase 4 with six buildings is scheduled for completion by November 2027.

Mexico Mayor Rodencio Gonzales expressed his full support for the project, noting that once the NSCR is completed, it will significantly help so many commuters.

In Angeles City, the DOTr through NHA is constructing the city’s first medium-rise relocation site.

The project features four-story, low-rise buildings with 615 housing units. It is targeted to be completed in December 2027.

Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin II also reaffirmed his support for the national government’s infrastructure and relocation projects.
