Pampanga 4th District Rep. Anna York P. Bondoc has met with the officials of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) to discuss the proposed establishment of a campus in Pampanga.
The meeting took place at the PUP main campus in Sta. Mesa Manila, the congresswoman said on Sunday, June 16.
“Plano ko pong gawing isang education center ang Pampanga para ilapit ang mga universities sa mga taong bayan,” she said.
Bondoc expressed hope that the planned PUP campus would not only cater to her constituents but to other students also in nearby provinces.
“Hindi lang po mga Capampangan ang mga target students namin but we hope to attract students from all over Central Luzon to promote education and give business opportunities sa mga tiga Pampanga,” she said.
“But of course, first priority pa rin ang mga ka distrito natin. I’m looking forward to their site visit and will work hard para matuloy ito! Kayo… Gusto ba ninyo ng isang PUP campus dito? Ako YES!” Bondoc added.
