San Fernando City bets join in unity walk, inter-faith rally, peace covenant signing for May polls

Candidates for the May elections in San Fernando City participated on Saturday, March 8, in the unity walk, inter-faith rally, and peace covenant signing.

The unity walk was held from Megaworld Capital Town Pampanga in Sto. Niño to Heroes Hall in San Juan where the peace covenant was inked.

Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag, Vice Mayor BJ “Tiger” Lagman, city councilors, and other candidates gunning for the mayor and councilor positions signed the covenant.

City Local Government Operations Officer Allan Don Malonzo, City of San Fernando Police Chief Lt. Col. Roy Augustus Calulot, City Election Officer June Guiao, and Bureau of Fire and Protection San Fernando City Fire Marshal Chief Inspector Sheila Marie Florendo were among those who witnessed the activity.

Provincial Police Chief Col. Jay Dimaandal, along with key officers from various government agencies and groups, also graced the event.

All candidates are one with government agencies in keeping secure, accurate, free, and fair elections (SAFE), the city government said.
