San Fernando City gov’t holds Q1 Legal Education Forum

The San Fernando City government has hosted the first quarterly Legal Education Forum (LEF).

The City Information Office (CIO) said the activity, through the City Legal Office (CLO), was held on March 19 at Heroes Hall as part of the celebration of National Women’s Month.

Members of San Fernando’s Kalipunan ng Liping Pilipina (KALIPI) and the Pederasyon ng Kababaihang Fernandino participated in the seminar. Solo parents and women representatives from various city groups working against human trafficking and violence against women were also present.

The LEF was held in partnership once again with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)–Pampanga Chapter.

Among the topics discussed were the Magna Carta of Women, the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, and the Solo Parents Welfare Act and the Expanded Solo Parents Act of 2022.
