Sangguniang Panlalawigan to study banning all POGOs in Pampanga – Gov Pineda

Pampanga Governor Dennis Pineda said on Friday, June 14, that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) would study the possibility of banning the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs), whether legal or illegal, in the province.

This was after the Council’s hearing wherein Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda raised concern over the POGO operations, particularly in Porac town, he said.

Authorities recently raided a POGO hub in Porac and found over a dozen sets of Chinese military uniforms. They have been checking the authenticity of the sets of clothes. More than 150 victims were also rescued during the raid.
