SHMC now accredited YAKAP Clinic of PhilHealth

ANGELES CITY – The Sacred Heart Medical Center (SHMC) is now an accredited YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Para Malayo sa Sakit) Clinic of PhilHealth, particularly offering expanded cancer screening services as part of the enhanced package.

The vision for a nationwide network of accessible, preventive, and continuous care providers will now be realized through PhilHealth’s YAKAP Program at the SHMC.

The SHMC has a proven track record as the leading cancer care facility in North and Central Luzon, serving thousands of patients over the years with a full spectrum care – screening, diagnosis, treatment, pain management, nutrition, psychosocial, palliative, survivorship.

With the YAKAP accreditation, patients can now access cancer screening services under this benefit package (breast, colorectal, lung, liver) for free/ no-cash-out for qualified individuals. Patient registration and scheduling is now ongoing, availment of cancer screening test will commence on October 20 (Monday).

SHMC also offers a circle of care: pre-care (screening & diagnosis), intra-care (surgery, chemo, radiation), post-care (pain & nutrition management; psychological support; rehab; survivorship/wellness).

SHMC offers a one-stop-shop, close referral loop, patient navigation, deep institutional expertise, advanced technology (e.g. linear accelerators, image-guided therapy), and compassionate patient support.

While full medicine benefits (GAMOT) still rolling out  outside NCR, SHMC looks forward to supporting patients from 2026 under expanded access.
