CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – As an expression of lifetime gratitude for the kindness Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda extended to his mother, Richard Calma had the image of the governor tattooed on his left forearm.
Calma went viral on Nov. 1 for the tattoo as a means of seeking assistance to settle the hospital bills of his mother that reached P500,000, way above the P194,000 the family was able to raise.

Along with Vice Gov. Dennis “Delta” Pineda, the governor pitched in the remaining balance of P360,000 to facilitate the transfer of Calma’s mother to another hospital for specialized care.
Help did not end there, as Gov. Nanay assured Calma that the Capitol will continue assisting the family in further medical procedures and hospitalization of his mom estimated to cost up to P900,000.

While appreciative of his way of thanking her, the governor reminded Calma and his brother who called on her: “Hindi na kailangang umabot sa pagpapa-tattoo upang makahingi ng tulong, sapagkat palaging bukas ang tanggapan ng Kapitolyo para sa mga Kapampangang nangangailangan, anuman ang kanilang katayuan sa buhay.” Pampanga PIO/Photos: Daniel Ombina
