VG Pineda leads Pampanga contingent in delivering assistance to quake-hit Cebu

Pampanga Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda has led a team in bringing assistance to earthquake-hit Cebu province.

The Pampanga Contingent Team delivered relief goods, such as sacks of rice, to the residents of Daanbantayan, San Remegio, Bogo City, and Medellin on Thursday, October 9.

Joining Pineda in Cebu were Pampanga Mayors’ League President and Apalit Mayor Jun Tetangco and Lubao Mayor Esmeralda Pineda.

“Ang relief operation na ito ay patunay na sa oras ng pangangailangan, nagkakaisa ang mga Pilipino mula Pampanga hanggang Cebu sa diwa ng malasakit at bayanihan,” the Provincial Information Office (PIO) said.

A magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck Cebu and nearby provinces on the night of September 30, leaving over 70 people dead and tens of thousands of families displaced.
