Global fast-food favorite Wendy’s has reached a major milestone in the Philippines, opening its 100th store in Angeles City with a festive launch that blended corporate pride with local culture and community spirit.
The event gathered executives from Wendy’s local and international partners including Norris Development Corporation, the new face of Wendy’s Caprice Cayetano, and suppliers to celebrate what leaders described as both a landmark achievement and a fresh beginning.
For the Philippine team, the moment carried personal significance. Company executives shared that having the 100th store located in Angeles City — their “first home base” — made the milestone even more meaningful. The new branch features murals highlighting the beauty of the city and nearby destinations, reinforcing a deeper connection between the brand and the local community.

“It’s not just about reaching 100 stores. It’s about where we are and how far we’ve come,” Joey Garcia, president and CEO of Wenphil, said.
Beyond the numbers, the expansion signals the Philippines’ growing importance within Wendy’s global network.

Representatives from Wendy’s International highlighted that the country now stands as the largest market in the APMEA (Asia Pacific, Middle East and Australia) Region to reach the 100-store mark — a first outside North America.
He also praised the Philippine operations for consistently delivering on the brand’s “fresh, never frozen” promise. From crisp vegetables to locally inspired touches like calamansi iced tea, the market was recognized for achieving near 100% freshness standards — a benchmark that continues to set it apart globally.

The milestone reflects a broader evolution for Wendy’s in the country. Moving beyond the traditional fast-food model, the brand has been repositioning itself to offer a more elevated dining experience — one that emphasizes quality, freshness, and customer satisfaction without cutting corners.
“This was the hard part — getting to 100,” a company leader shared. “Now, we’re just getting started.”

With momentum on its side, Wendy’s Philippines is already looking ahead to its next goal: doubling its footprint to 200 stores. If the energy from the Angeles City celebration is any indication, the journey forward is poised to be just as ambitious — and distinctly Filipino.
