Fernandino students showcased their creativity and promoted disaster preparedness during the Sining Kahandaan DRRM On-the-Spot Poster Making Contest, held as part of the National Disaster Resilience Month celebration, July 3.
The activity was organized by the City Government of San Fernando through the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) and the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) to raise awareness of disaster resilience among the youth through art.

CDRRM Officer Raymond Del Rosario said the activity highlights the city’s disaster risk reduction programs while encouraging students to become advocates of disaster resilience. A static display of disaster response equipment and emergency response capabilities was also featured during the event.

Maimpis High School, Systems Plus Senior High School, and Pampanga High School emerged as the top three winners in the high school category.

In the grade school category, San Fernando Elementary School won first place, followed by Dolores Integrated School and Northville Elementary School.
The Sining Kahandaan poster-making contest, held at Robinsons Starmills Pampanga, highlighted the vital role of the youth in promoting disaster preparedness. Through their artworks, participating students helped reinforce the message that building a disaster-resilient community begins with awareness, preparedness, and shared responsibility.
